Giant Steps Canopy Adult Services is looking for volunteers to be Side-Walkers and Horse Leaders during weekly therapeutic riding lessons at Rich Harvest Farms 43W450 Prairie St, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.  We are a PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Center serving young adults on the Autism Spectrum. Equine Program Volunteers receive a one-hour training to provide assistance to the horses, PATH Instructor, and riders during therapeutic riding instruction.


  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Available Mondays, Wednesdays OR Fridays from 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Previous experience working with horses is NOT required
  • Available to attend a 1-hour Orientation/Training prior to start of the volunteer service
